Drei lackierte Stahlbögen zeichnen mit „gegrätschten“ Beinen Schwünge nach, die im weitesten Sinne eine durch den Boden verlaufende spiralförmige Energie, eine gedachte Netzverbindung darstellen. Passage
Three painted steel arches with "straddled" legs trace curves which, in the broadest sense, represent a spiral of energy running through the ground, an imaginary network connection. Their orientation and staggered heights point towards the entrance of the regional energy supplier. The oversized, coloured "façade shadow" creates a...
...complementary interplay of passageway and connection that is visible from afar. Sculpture: As a three-dimensional "foreground", the sculpture is associated with archways, forms passageways and creates vistas. In technical terms, "passage" is the existence of a continuous path for the flow of electricity. In shape and size, the staggered steel arches relate to each other and create a dynamic towards the entrance. Three precisely fitting surface cut-outs (sheet steel thickness 25 mm, height approx. 5 m) show semi-oval lines that taper from the upper, wide end to the base. This movement, which flows like a current, is intensified by the staggering of the "legs". In this way, the forms together trace curves which, in the broadest sense, represent a spiral energy running through the floor, a network connection conceived as continuous. The orange-red colour (2K paint) supports the association of warmth. Glass façade: In the "background", the external sculpture is projected two-dimensionally onto the glass façade (laminated translucent UV film), similar to a "shadow cast". The complementary image sections also create a spatial orientation for the foyers on all floors. In dark daylight or seasonal light conditions with interior lighting, the eye-catcher is visible from afar. The formal unity with the sculpture creates a connection between inside and outside. "Passage" forms an extended access to the main entrance and at the same time symbolises an opening of the municipal utilities to the city in the opposite direction. The passageway in the energy sense is transferred to a connection to the municipal utilities as a supply service provider. Realisation 2023
